693,148. Supplying liquid fuel; cylinders. SOC. D'ETUDES DE MACHINES THERMIQUES. May 15, 1951 [May 15, 1950], No. 11331/51. Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii). In a fuel-injection engine having a fuel injector 8 disposed centrally of the cylinder head and the valve operating means 1 located in a closed casing 2, a tubular member 4 traverses the casing 2 in sealed relationship thereto and serves to secure the casing cover 3 in position and also as a means of support for a chamber 5b to which the fuel supply pipes 6, 7 are connected. The member 4 has screw-threads at the top and bottom for connection to the casing 2 and cover 3 and has a head member 5a to which the fuel connection member 5b is fastened. The fuel flows to the injector 8 inside the tube 4 without any possibility of its mixing with the lubricating oil in the casing
