Abstract
674,507. Lamp caps. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 23, 1950 [Sept. 1, 1949], No. 20892/50. Class 38 (i). [Also in Groups XI and XXIII] An electric incandescent lamp comprising a sealed glass enve. lope 1 enclosing a filament 10 is provided with leading-in wires 8 having relatively rigid outer portions 11 which are bent to project laterally outward from the wall of the envelope and then bent back upon themselves at 12 to form terminal contact loops 13 with their extremities 14 sealed into the glass wall. The leading- in wires are made of silver-plated iron containing a small percentage of carbon, e.g. 0.05 per cent.
