Abstract

644,237. Pipe couplings. BRITISH OXYGEN CO., Ltd., ARCUS, G. F., and BLACK, G. D. July 1, 1948; No. 17723. [Class 99(i)] For connecting a fluid conduit to a valve body in such a way that a conduit for a certain fluid can only be connected to a valve supplying that fluid a connector is in the form of a yoke having an opening 19 in its base 17 communicating with the 'fluid conduit, pins 22 in the side arms 15 of the yoke registering with grooves 14 in the valve body 10, Fig. 4, so that the port 13 aligns with the opening 19. A pivoted bridge 23 carries a screw 27 to clamp the valve body onto the gasket 20. The pins and grooves are arranged in different positions for different fluids.
