Abstract
900,401. Pipe joints. PARKINSON COWAN Ltd. Sept. 2, 1958 [Oct. 29, 1957], No. 33775/57. Class 99(1). An adaptor 10 provides a coaxial pipe joint for a fluid-flow meter which has an outer coaxial pipe connection 15 and an inner meter connector 24, an inner pipe 14 extending sufficiently beyond the outer pipe 13 to be fluid-sealed by an 0-ring 25, mounted in a recess in the inner meter connection, before the outer pipe 13 is jointed to the outer meter connection 15. Either the inner conduit 11 or the outer conduit 12 may be used for inlet gas, and in the latter case apertures are provided in the wall of chamber 21 as required and a second chamber is provided below the inner conduit 11 into which the outlet gas is led.
