868,915. Rotary joints. KLOCKNERGEORGSMARIENWERKE A.G. May 13, 1959 [May 19, 1958], No. 16481/59. Class 99(1). In a pipe coupling a pipe 4 in the form of a sleeve is rotatably mounted on a pipe 2 which is provided with slots 3 in the wall thereof to permit passage of fluid from one pipe to the other whatever their relative position, rotary sealing glands 7a, 7b being provided between the pipes. The pipe 2 is in the form of a loop having a fluid inlet or outlet 1 remote from the pipe 4 so that fluid flowing in the branches of the loop converges or diverges in that portion of the loop embraced by the pipe 4. A tubular extension 5 provides an inlet or outlet to the pipe 4. Wear bushes 8a, 8b are welded to the pipe 2.
