[Also in Division F1] A hydrant (see Division F1) has a plastic riser 3, whose flanged ends 20 are held by plastic sleeves 21 secured to cast-iron or plastic members 1 and 19 by bayonet joints 28. The ends of the riser are sealed by soft-rubber U-rings 22 which are compressed against annular projections 26 on the members 1 and 19 and are urged against the walls of the riser and the sleeve by fluid pressure admitted into spaces 23.
