667,078. Rotary joints. FOLKARD, Ltd., J. S. & F., and FOLKARD, F. J. May 4, 1950 [Jan. 24, 1950]. Class 99 (i) A tubular member 6 is fixed at one end, as by a screw-thread 10, within a conduit 1 and is supported at the other end, as by a boss 7 and bore 5, for relative rotation within a conduit 11, and a collar 13 abutted axially against and rotatably carried on the member is threadedly received in conduit 11 to bring opposed parts 16, 17 of the conduits into or maintain them in coupled relationship. There may be a shoulder 12 of the member to support the collar, which may have a reduced part 14 located in a recess 15 of conduit 1, and grooves 18, 19 respectively of conduit 1 and the collar are registered by a tool to lock the collar during asssembly. The boss may be hollow and form with the member a rotary valve.
