597,766. Lubricating annular bearings. HELLIWELLS, Ltd., and YARNALL, F. J. Aug. 25, 1945, No. 21879. [Class 12 (iii)] An adaptor for use in greasegun lubrication of annular bearings comprises a cylinder a with a nipple b at one end to be engaged by the grease-gun and an annular outlet e<1> at the other from which projects a screwthreaded rod d on which the bearing f is temporarily held by a wing or other nut d' while the grease-gun forces grease into the annular space of the bearing. Different annular nozzle pieces e are fitted to accommodate bearings of different diameter. For large bearings the nozzle piece is carried by an external sleeve butting against a shoulder a' on the cylinder a.
