866,587. Hose couplings. OSKAR BIEGAL G.m.b.H. April 6, 1959, No. 11611/59. Class 99(1). In a coupling for the connection of hoses to tubular connecting pieces the hose end 1 is secured on to a nipple 2, by means of a spring ring 10 adapted to bear against an abutment 11 integral with the nipple by axial displacement of an internally conical sleeve 3 secured positively in its axial position relatively to the nipple. A wedge-shaped gap narrowing in the direction of withdrawal of the hose is formed between the hose and the conical inner surface 4 of the nipple. The nipple is in the form of an independent loose part which bears in sealing tight manner against a conical or plane surface of the connecting piece 6, the sleeve 3 being screwed on the connecting piece. Alternatively, the sleeve is secured by bolts or by a bayonet joint to the connecting piece.
