Abstract

716,771. Junction pieces; pipe joints. KROMSCHRODER AKT.-GES., G. Dec. 2, 1952 [Aug. 18, 1952], No. 30533/52. Class 99 (1). An adaptor housing 1 is provided internally with two coaxial conduits 2, 3 which may be connected by bridge pieces 21' and are at one end connected to, e.g. the conduits 18, 19 of a fluid-measuring, regulating or control device 9 by a common fluid-tight coupling, the opposite ends of the conduits 2, 3 issuing into separate conduits adapted to be connected by separate fluid-tight couplings to different parts 6, 7 of a pipe-line. The ends of the conduits 2, 3 and 18, 19 may lie in the same plane. A packing 10 comprising coaxial ring parts connected by bridge pieces may be interposed between the abutting ends of the conduits 2, 3 and 18, 19, a nut 22 engaging a flange 16 of the conduit 18 being screwed onto a flange 8 of the conduit 3. The housing may have screwed spigot-andsocket parts 4, 5 for connection to the pipes 6, 7. In a modification, the pipes 6, 7 are disposed vertically and an elbow comprising two concentric tubes joined by bridge pieces connects the adaptor and the device 9.
