576,772. Pipe joints. JAMIE, R. C. S., and HUNT & TURNER, Ltd. Nov. 22, 1944, No. 23196. [Class 99 (i)] Pipes 7, 8 are connected by a sleeve 10 of flexible material having an annular chamber 9 adapted to be supplied with fluid under pressure through a valve 14. The. chamber is formed by two strips of flexible material secured at their edges such as by vulcanization, is secured to the pipe by band-clips 12, and may be reinforced by an external metal band 13. In securing a flexible tube to rigid tube the chamber may be formed on the end of theflexible tube into the end of which the rigid tube is introduced.
