Abstract

628,083. Spray-producers. CRIBB, E. G. Aug. 25, 1947, No. 23439. [Class 69 (iii)] A liquid atomizing device includes an outer cylindrical shell 10 containing a fixed inner cylindrical member 15 having an annular channel 19 which forms a. liquid reservoir. The latter is fed from a pipe 20 and the liquid passes through a bore 22 to an atomizing chamber 13 to which pressure air is applied through a pipe 17, the atomized liquid being forced through an outlet 12. Alternatively, Figs. 2 and 3, the cylindrical member 15 has a number of grooves 23 connecting the reservoir and atomizing chamber, and grooves 24 may also be formed in the inner face 14 of member 15. In a further embodiment, Fig. 4, the inner portion of member 15 is of reduced diameter, and the end wall 11 has indentations 26 spacing it from member 15 and enabling liquid to flow to the chamber 13.
