Abstract

717,562. Spray-producers. SPRAYING SYSTEMS CO. Oct. 30, 1952, No. 27290/52. Class 69 (3) A spray nozzle includes a whirl chamber 14 with a concentric discharge orifice 15, and an eccentric annular enlargement 22 at the rear end of the chamber into which a tangential inlet 23 is led. The whirl chamber wall flares outwardly into the enlargement which is closed by a plate 24, and the inlet 23 consists of a groove partly covered by the plate. The latter is held within the end of a fitting 25 slotted at 38 and supporting a cylindrical strainer 29. Liquid from a pipe 21 passes through the strainer and slots to an axial passage 26 and then via slots 32 in the end of the fitting 25 to the tangential inlet.
