Abstract

816,093. Mixing appliances. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. Aug. 23, 1957 [Aug. 23, 1956], No. 26725/57. Class 86 In an apparatus for mixing two liquids one is projected into a mixing chamber and the other is directed from a nozzle on to a surface from which it is deflected into the first fluid as a fine spray. The apparatus described has a valve 4 mounted on a stem 5 and liquid, received through a pipe 10, opens this valve, against a spring 7, and passes into the mixing chamber 3 as a stream of annular cross-section. The second liquid is injected from a nozzle 11 and directed against a surface 14, at the end of the valve member so as to spray outwards in all directions into the first liquid. The mixture overflows through the orifice 12 and is drawn off through a channel 18. The end surface 14 is preferably curved and may be either concave or convex.
