385,380. Spray-producers. ROTHEIM, E., 19, Erling Skjalgssons gt., Oslo, Norway. Oct. 15, 1931, No. 28704. Convention date, Dec. 16, 1930. [Class 69 (iii).] Apparatus for spraying material by a condensed gas such as dimethyl ether in which the material is dissolved comprises a charged can 1 closed by a cup-shaped stopper 2 and a detachable spray member 6 adapted to be screwed into the stopper carrying at one end a jet nozzle member 7 having an expansion chamber 8 therein, and at the other a needle for perforating a diaphragm 5 which serves also as a valve for regulating the escape of fluid when the diaphragm is perforated. The outward movement of the member 6 limited by a detachable screw cap 15 within which is an eccentrically perforated disc 13 engaging a flange 14, a rubber washer 12 being interposed to secure fluidtightness. The sprayer member 7 is provided with a gauze filter 9 and a perforated disc 20 to provide a drop on pressure between the receptacle and the expansion chamber 8. A straight or bent tube may be interposed between the member 6 and the nozzle 7.
