627,285. Making foam. NU-SWIFT, Ltd., and HENSHAW, T. A. April 5, 1946, No. 8387/45. [Class 47 (ii)] In a foam-producing nozzle of the kind in which air is entrained by a jet of liquid containing a foam-producing compound, the liquid under pressure enters the nozzle through a bore a2, containing a hollow nipple b, in a connector a secured to a tubular member c provided with air inlets c<SP>2</SP> and having a portion c<SP>1</SP> in the form of a frustum of a cone leading into a cylindrical or tapered discharge tube or foam chamber d. The nipple has reduced inlet and outlet openings b<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>3</SP> connected by a chamber b<SP>2</SP> of larger diameter. The inner surface of the cone may be provided with longitudinally-extending ribs forming convergent passages. Specification 588,045 is referred to.
