729,213. Making foam. VASSILKOVSKY, V. April 16, 1952 [May 9. 1951], No. 9512/52. Class 47. In the production of foam, foam-forming solution is projected as a solid jet from a cylindrical or divergent nozzle 2 into a tube 1 comprising a portion 3 of small diameter connected through a divergent portion 9, or directly, to a portion 7 of larger diameter which is formed at its outer end with a divergent nozzle 8. In modifications, the inlet end of the tube 1 may be flared or be provided with air-inlet holes and the nozzle may be replaced by a hose. Water and foam-solution may be supplied to the nozzle 2 by separate pipes and be mixed adjacent the nozzle.
