Abstract

535,451. Spray-producers. BENN, W. Feb. 7, 1940, No. 2339. [Class 69 (iii)] A sprayer of the kind comprising a whirl chamber 4 having an outlet 5 and supplied with water through inclined passages 3 in a plug 2 is provided with an axial pin 7 carrying a curved core 8 the surface of which touches the inner wall of the hollow cone of spray delivered through the opening 5. A second core 9 may be mounted below the core 8 of the same or different shape and different shaped cores may be provided to vary the character of the spray. The rate of flow may be varied by screwing the core 8 to vary its distance from the orifice 5.
