Abstract

255,932. O'Brien, H. S. F. R. April 28, 1925. Air and gas pressure sprayers. - In an atomizer comprising two coaxial tubes a, b forming an annular passage through which liquid is supplied, the inner air tube b being provided with a constricted outlet d leading to a diverging conical cavity f, the outer member a is provided with a nozzle element j formed with a conical cavity k and an inwardly directed cone l from which a second conical cavity m leads to an axial bore n so that the liquid is first projected forwardly, then rearwardly into contact with air issuing from the inner tube and finally forwardly into the orifice n. The inner end of the tube a is provided with a slot p through which liquid is admitted.
