613,095. Hand stapling-machines. QUICK, T., and QUICK, S. Sept. 29, 1945, No. 28651/46. Divided out of 613,031. [Class 89 (iii)] The Specification describes the stapling-machine described in Specification 613,031 and claims the unitary assembly displaceable from the magazine 11, of the staple bar 13, pusher 17, rod 21 and spring 26. It describes also a modification in which the bar 13 is pivoted to the magazine by a screw 63 and the magazine has a central opening 62 to allow the bar to be loaded with staples at a mid-point. The abutment member 33 is omitted. In another modification, the block 20 is a loose fit on the rod 21 so that the pusher can be moved downwardly to engage a shoulder on the magazine to lock it in retracted position. In another modification, the pusher is separate from the block 20 and is held to it by a sleeve nut screwing on to the pin 18. Specification 613,100 also is referred to.
