Abstract
613,331. Length-bar gauges. AKTIEBOLAGET C. E. JOHANSSON. June 20, 1946, No. 18615. Convention date, June 25, 1945. [Class 106 (ii)] A combination length bar comprises a bolt 3 with knurled head 5 upon which may be pushed a number of gauge blocks 1 in the form of round washers or cylinders having internal grooves 4, Fig. 2, the free end of the bolt being then inserted in a sleeve 12 with internal groove 15 and cap 13. The said free end of the bolt 3 is formed as a conical screw 6 for co-operation with a slotted nut 7 having a projection 10 and retained by a screw 16. When the appropriate parts have been assembled to form a bar of the required length, the conical screw 6 is turned by means of the knurled head 5 and as the groove 15 holds the projection 10, the nut 7 cannot turn and is therefore expanded to grip the sleeve and lock the parts together, which are at the same time drawn into close contact.
