586,235. Band clips. O'SHEI, W. E. Oct. 26, 1944, No. 20832. [Class 44] In a band clip wherein a screw 5 carried in a housing 3 secured to one end of a band 1 is adapted to engage serrations 2 provided in the other end of the band, the screw is movable longitudinally to disengage from the serrations while being constrained to remain with its axis substantially parallel to the position it occupies when in engagement with the serrations, a plain portion 6 on the screw sliding through an aperture in the housing. In modifications designed to shorten the necessary longitudinal movement by causing the screw to move away from the band, the screw and housing may be of tapered form, or the screw may be provided with tapered journal portions or with portions.of reduced diameter which are brought opposite bearings formed in the housing.
