646,222. Stapling tools. GERRARD INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 22, 1948, No. 2032. [Class 89(iii)] In a tacking device in which a stapledriver 7, 8 is raised against a spring 9 by a pawl 12 pivoted at 15 to a pivoted operating lever 13 and subsequently disengaged by the co-operation of a shoulder 19 with a pin 11, a single spring 16 serves to influence the pawl 12 and the lever 13. The housings for the driver spring 9 and the magazine spring 6 are closed by bayonetjoint caps 20, 21 respectively.
