Abstract
1389161 Cartridge-actuated fastener driving tools HILTI AG 9 March 1973 [7 June 1972] 11562/73 Heading B4C A cartridge-ejector in a fastener driving tool comprises a two-armed lever 6 pivotally mounted so that one arm engages under the rim 8a of the cartridge 8 while the other arm co-operates with a spring-urged catch 11 upon relative movement of the two parts 1 and 2 of the tool. Upon movement of the part 1 towards the part 2 about a pivot 3, Fig. 1, the catch 11 is first pressed back to the limit of its slot 11a against a spring 12. Continued movement of the part 1 causes the lever 6 to yield against a yieldable detent, such as an annular spring 9, Fig. 2, which moves out of engagement with the nose 6c of the lever to allow the lever to pivot under the action of the spring 12 and eject the cartridge 8.
