Abstract

1448126 Pencil holders A W FABER-CASTELL 6 Dec 1973 [8 Dec 1972 1 Sept 1973 12 Oct 1973] 56697/73 Heading B6P A clutch pencil comprises a clutch member consisting of a pair of half-cylindrical members 4. The clutch includes an external conical surface 5 which is forced by a spring 10 into a bore in a ring 28. The pencil provides incremental advance of the lead 17, depression of the button 11 advancing the ring 28 with the lead until it engages a shoulder 30, the surface 5 then leaving the ring 28 and causing lead projection to cease. The lead is gripped by ribs 24. The members 4 may incorporate a magazine for leads, the exit of the magazine being shaped to permit one lead at a time to leave the magazine (Figs. 14- 16, not shown).
