673,684. Stapling. GERRARD INDUSTRIES. Ltd. June 27, 1950 [July 1, 1949], No. 17502/49. Class 89 (iii). In a stapling device in which a driver 1 is raised against a spring 4 by a spring-pressed trigger lever 5 which is pivoted at 6 on an operating lever and engages a recess 8 in the driver 1, a roll or rolls 10 or abutments on the lever 5 are held in the recess 8 by a guide member 12a until the driver has been sufficiently raised. A pin 16 may be provided, if desired, to co-operate with a cam 15 to ensure disengagement of the rolls 10 when they clear the guide 12a. Specification 646,222 is referred to.
