Abstract

657,570. Operating clutches. BATA, NARODNI PODNIK. Dec. 9, 1948, No. 31857. Convention date, Dec. 11, 1947. [Class 80(ii)] 'In a one-revolution clutch for stamping machines, one arm 14a of a three-armed lever 14 coacts with the nose 23 of a catch arm 18, a second arm 14b has a bevelled end coacting with a slidable clutch operating pin 7, and the third arm 14c coacts with a cam 8 on the driven shaft 3. A control rod 37 is connected to one end of a lever 32 having a slot engaging a fixed pin 30, the other end,of the lever having a nose 34 coacting with a recess 25 beneath the nose 23. The. pin 7 is urged towards clutchengaged position by a spring 12. Normally, the nose 23 holds the lever 14 with the arm) 14b holding the pin 7 retracted, the clutch being disengaged. When the operator pulls the rod 37, the lever 32 pulls the nose 23 away from the arm 14a, and the leyer 14 is turned by a spring 21 so that the arm 14b releases thepin 7 and the clutch engages, the arm 14a striking the nose 34 so as to disengage it from the arm 18. During the ensuing revolution, the cam 8. moves, the lever 14 so that nose 23 re-engages arm 14a, and the bevelled end of arm 14b retracts pin 7 to disengage the clutch at the end of the revolution. The nose 34 re-engages the recess 25 when the rod 37 is released.
