Abstract

630,179. Stapling. GOODMAN, L. L., and VANDERVIEREN, F. A. J., (trading as GOODMAN & VANDERVIEREN), and VANDERVIEREN, A. A. Sept. 16, 1947, No. 25283. [Class 89 (iii)] In a stapling device in which a plunger 6 carrying a driver 7 is raised against an actuating spring 8 by a spring-controlled hand-lever 10, the lever is formed with a slot 11 to co-operate with a pivot pin 12 journalled in the stapler head 4 whereby the lever, after raising the plunger 6, is disengaged therefrom by movement of the pin along the slot when an abutment 16 on the lever engages a stop 19 on the head. An arcuate surface 17 on the lever 10 provides for free movement of the plunger past the lever. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to U.S.A. Specification 2,109,203.
