Class 89(3) In a nailing appliance comprising a manuallyoperated plunger 26 which is slidable in a housing 10 provided with a nail shoot 34, 31 and a driver guide 11, the driver 37 is formed with a head 38 which is slidable in a bore 36 in the plunger against the action of a yieldable plug 39 or a spring to prevent burning of the upper end of the driver. The appliance is provided 'with an adjustable strap 16, 21 to receive the foot of the operator.
