664,737. Smallarms. SOC. ITALIANA E. BREDA PER COSTRUZIONI MECCANICHE. July 27, 1949. [July 27, 1948] No. 19690/49. Class 119. The unit consisting of a trigger guard 1 and trigger 9 is secured to the stock 2 of a gun by a withdrawable transverse pin 4 which also constitutes a safety device preventing, when suitably set, movement of the trigger. In the form shown the pin is preventing upward movement of a rearwardly extending limb of the trigger, but by a partial rotation of the pin the limb may pass through a slot 8. A spring-controlled member, Figs. 2, and 3 (not shown) engages flats on the pin to hold it in the required adjusted position. In a modification a similar effect is produced by an endwise movement of the pin.
