Abstract

629,874. Combs. BRADFORD, F. Dec. 27, 1947, No. 34322. [Class 131] A comb of the kind in which the teeth are resiliently mounted relatively to the back is characterised in that behind the comb teeth 1 there is mounted a spring-loaded member 4 formed with spring receiving pockets 8 on its rear face, the spring-loaded member and the springs 5 being within a casing 3, forming the handle of the comb, and a spring-loaded guard 10 engaging the sides of the teeth being provided. The pressure with which the guard rests on the teeth is adjustable by the finger lever 14 of the nut 13 which engages a threaded stud 12.
