Abstract

820,944. Spray-producers. WALD INDUSTRIES Inc. Jan. 16, 1956, No. 1478/56. Class 69 (3). [Also in Group XV] The paint nozzle 24 of a line spraying machine has a shield which permits fine adjustment of the width of the spray. The shield is in the form of a cylinder coaxial with the nozzle 24 having an upper member 34 fixed to the nozzle and a lower member 48 sliding telescopically over the upper member and held in adjusted position by a bolt 46 passing through a notch in the lower member and threaded into the upper member. In a modification the lower member is bell-shaped and is fixed in position by a set-screw engaging the upper member.
