Abstract

917,683. Spray-producers. MACHINES ELECTROSTATIQUES S.A. DE. March 31, 1960 [March 31, 1959; Oct. 22, 1959], No. 11386/60. Class 69 (3). A rotary cylindrical head 1 for the electrostatic atomizing and spraying of paint has a hub 2 with flared external surfaces, and the paint is fed through a channel 7 and over those surfaces to flared outlets 3 from which it passes to the atomizing edge of the head. In Fig. 3 the hub 12 is fixed to the part 11, and a paint jet flows from a nozzle 14 on to the flared external surfaces of the hub and passes through apertures 15 to the atomizing edge. In a further embodiment the external part of the head is of frusto-conical shape.
