Abstract

787,250. Powder distributers. FISONS PEST CONTROL, Ltd. Oct. 7, 1955 [Oct. 19, 1954], No. 30086/54. Class 6(1). [Also in Group XXIX] In a powder spraying machine the powder is fed through a pipe 10 which is rotated about its vertical axis and has an outlet spout 11 extending into a stationary vessel 3. Outlet tubes 4-7 extending tangentially from the vessel lead to conventional dispersing means and as the pipe 10 is rotated the spout sweeps past each outlet in turn and supplies powder thereto. Two or more spouts may be symmetrically arranged around the pipe axis. Alternatively the pipe may terminate in a hollow rotary cylindrical delivery member provided with peripheral slots whereby spray medium is flung through the slots into the vessel. Radial vanes on the rotary delivery member may act as an air-pump and the tubes 4-7 may be sufficiently wide to carry an air-powder mixture. The apparatus may be mounted on a vehicle.
