Abstract

713,406. Spray-producers ; crop sprayers. SCHUTZ, K. Oct. 31, 1952 [Oct. 2, 1952], No. 27514/52. Class 69 (3). [Also in Group XI] Air and atomized liquid are blown through a distributer tube 1 into a number of discharge tubes 6 spaced therealong, and the liquid is distributed as a film on the inner wall of each discharge tube outlet by the velocity of air in an enlarged annular portion 7 of the tube. The film is finally broken up at the edge of each discharge tube and distributed by the air. The latter is admitted to the distributer tube at 2, and the liquid at 3, and the liquid is atomized by a device 4. Each discharge tube outlet comprises a number of radially disposed teeth 9, and the liquid film flows to the tips of the teeth before being detached by the air flow.
