Abstract

809,588. Windscreen washers. EISEMANN, G.m.b.H. June 25, 1957 [June 28, 1956], No. 19927/57. Class 138(1). [Also in Group XXIX] A windscreen washer nozzle comprises a hollow member with a threaded part 1, a section 2 for receiving a liquid supply hose, and a threaded transverse bore 5 engaged by the shank 6 of a screw. The knurled head 7 of the screw clamps into position a ring 8 having an incision 10 providing the spray aperture. Washers 9 are located on each side of the ring. Flats 11 on the screw shank enable liquid to flow to the outlet via an annular cavity 12. By loosening the screw the ring can be turned to direct the spray outlet as desired. The hollow member is mounted vertically on a panel 13 of the vehicle and is secured by a nut 15.
