Abstract

225,060. Burdick, C. L. Nov. 23, 1923. Shields.-A wind guard or shield for protecting a spray of paint &c. while it is being applied to a surface, which may be used in combination with the combined brush and spray described in Specification 130,047, comprises a thin sheet of material 11 attached to a shaft 10 held by means of a nut 12 in a block 7 provided with a stud 8 which is clamped by a nut 9 in a slot in an arm 3 which is clamped on the body 1 of the nozzle by means of a screw 4. The arrangement is such that the guard may be adjusted to bring it nearer or farther from the spray, it can also be adjusted longitudinally in alignment with the spray by sliding in the block 7, it can be set at various angles and also rotated upon the axis of the sprayer.
