Air-pressure sprayers.-Atomizing apparatus for use in humidifying &c. provided with means for adjusting the direction of the spray comprises a body part a, Figs. 1 and 2 having trunnions h connected by couplings c to the liquid supply d and air supply e respectively so that it can be adjusted about the trunnion and locked in any position by the nuts f. The casing has annular and central cavities g, h communicating with the air and liquid supplies respectively. A disc i rotatably mounted in the casing carries a hollow arm l on which is an air nozzle m and is locked in the adjusted position by means of a nut n engaging a central stem i. The liquid nozzle o screws into the central stem, and may be provided with a filter q and a spring loaded valve v. The air nozzle m, Fig. 2, has an internally threaded part engaging the stem of a stud p by means of which its position in relation to the nozzle o may be adjusted. In place of an eccentric air nozzle the nozzles may be concentric as shown at o, m, Fig 4, in which case the cover is locked in position by a central stud s, provided with a water passage, the amount of atomization being regulated by screwing the nozzle m more or less closely to the nozzle o. The liquid filter q is mounted as shown and a spring loaded valve r is provided in the liquid passage which may be regulated from outside the casing. This arrangement of filter and valve may be applied to the atomizer shown in Figs. 1 and 2 and the liquid nozzle may be provided with a screwed stem so as to hold the cover on the casing and with a body part of the form shown in Fig. 4. Interchangeable caps may be provided so that either the eccentric or concentric spraying nozzles may be used.
