Abstract

In apparatus for the electrostatic spraying of paint by means of a rotary bell-shaped spray head which is axially adjustable, means are provided for adjusting the rotary spray head in any desired direction. The spray head may be pivoted at right angles to the axis of rotation so as to be adjustable either directly or by programme control in dependence upon the shape and position of the object (e.g. a car body) being coated.
