627,947. Cake knife. BECKLER, T. H. L. Sept. 5, 1947, No. 24529. [Class 30] A cake knife comprises a blade 1 carried by a handle 3 and adapted to be inserted beneath the cake, and a knife 12 pivoted to one side of the handle and adapted to swing in a plane adjacent one edge of the blade 1 so that the cut off slice is supported by the blade, and a spring 11 for normally hodling the knife in raised position. The blade has a side extension plate 9 with a depending portion 10 engaging the opposite side of the handle so as to guide the knife in its movements.
