[Class 132 (ii)] [Also in Group XIX] A golf stroke recorder has separately operable counting members mounted in a housing, an operating member movable with respect to the housing to bring it into selective operative relation with any one of the counting members, and resetting means which zeroise all the counting members at the same time by a single operation. A two-part housing 10, 11 has two rotatably mounted spindles, 13, 14 each carrying nine drums 15, a ratchet wheel 16 being formed integral with each drum. Figures on the drums are visible through windows 18, 19. Each ratchet wheel cooperates with an operating pawl 21 formed of fingers of resilient sheet metal projecting from a central sheet 23 and a retaining pawl 22 formed of shorter fingers projecting from a sheet 28, and is advanced by movement of the pawl 21. Each pawl is moved by one of two push button units 28 movable in a slot 31 and comprising a push button 34 in a body 28, pressure on the button moving a knob 36, connected to it by a stem 35, against the action of a spring 38. Each spindle has a groove 42 and each drum has an internal resilient finger 43 providing a clutch action so that the drums on one spindle can all be rotated to zero by a knob 44 slidable on the spindle and having a cross-pin 45 engaging a slot therein, one end of the pin normally engaging a notch 47 in the housing to prevent rotation of the spindle until the knob 44 is pressed inwards against the action of a spring 48.
