734,618. Clocks and watches. MICHEL, E. Feb. 3, 1953, No. 3005/53. Class 139. A time piece 'comprises means which on operation zeroizes the minute hand and at the same time adjusts the regulator by an amount corresponding to the extent of the zeroizing movement of the minute hand. The minute hand 1 is fixed to a heart-shaped friction wheel 3. The regulator 7 has a pin 8 which rides a cam 9 fixed to a friction wheel 11. An intermediate friction wheel 12 is carried by a lever 13 pivotably and slidably mounted on a pin 14. A spring member 17 is interposed between the lever 13 and the arm 46 of the return to zero lever 4. On actuation of a push button 6 the lever 4 is rocked to bring the wheel 12 into engagement with the wheels 3 and 11 so that when the hammer 4a of the lever 4 rotates the wheel 3 a corresponding movement is transmitted through the wheels 12 and 11 and the cam 9 to the regulator 7. One of the wheels 3, 12, 11 may be grooved to receive a projection on the engaging wheel or the rims of the wheels may be striated.
