825,660. Watches. PANERAI, M., and PANERAI, G. Nov. 26, 1956 [Nov. 30, 1955], No. 36125/56. Class 139 In a watch keyless mechanism the crown 3, Figs. 1 and 2, is normally retained against a packing 4 in the caseband 8 by the projection 7 of a lever 2 pivoted at 9 on a frame 1 the two parts of which overlie the crown. Movement of the lever 2 to the dotted line position in Fig. 1 frees the crown for actuation. In another embodiment, Fig. 3, the crown 14 is held against the packing 15 by spring-pressed balls 17 which engage a V-shaped groove 16 in the winding stem 13. When the stem is pulled out to the hand-setting position the balls 17 engage a groove 19 in the stem.
