618,079. Hand stapling-machines. QUICK, T., and QUICK, S. Oct. 17, 1946. No. 30889. [Class 89 (iii)] A bench stapler or tacker is provided with a magazine cover 11a having an opening 62 intermediate its ends through which the staple strip is inserted into the feeding guideway while the pusher plate 17 is held retracted by engagement of a washer 55 behind a shoulder 57 as in Specifications 613,031 and 613,095. The driving guideway 72, 75 may be extended below the lower face of the tacker to permit tacking at an angle. A further plate 76 may be secured to the base of the tacker.
