583,979. Exchangeable spanners. DAVIS, W. G. Sept. 5, 1944, No. 16910. [Class 61 (iii)] An interchangeable spanner consists of a spanner holder in the form of a steel stamping having a vertical slot G in one end and a horizontal slot D in the other and spanner heads E and H having shanks F adapted to fit reversibly in the slots G and D. In combination with the spanner holder in an extension holder J, Fig. 4, which is provided with a slot C and a shank K. A further addition is a right angle adapter L, Fig. 6, also having a slot M and a shank N. A spring ball may be used for holding the parts together.
