Abstract

596,044. Bourdon pressure gauges GRANT, C. R. A. July 16, 1945, No. 18176. [Class 106 (ii)] In a Bourdon pressure gauge of the kind wherein the free end of the tube is connected by a link to a crank-pin on a spindle carrying the pointer, a hollow post 1 carrying the tube 7 is forked at 3, 4 to carry the spindle 5 which is provided with circular discs 10, 11 mounted in circular openings in the forks, the crank being located between the discs and being engaged by a resilient loop 14 of the link 8 which is connected at its other end by a screw-and-slot connection 12, 13 to the end of the tube. The screw-and-slot connection 12, 13 in the link 8 facilitates adjustment of the pointer 6 ; a modified link 8 comprises a strip provided intermediate its ends with a U-shaped loop capable of adjustment by expansion or contraction.
