[Class 80 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXVI and XXVII] A pair of super-charging impellers C, D, for an internal combustion engine are driven from the crank shaft through a resilient coupling comprising telescopic quills 14, 15 splined together at 18 and to the crank shaft 10 and a gear 20. This gear drives the impellers 'through trains of gearing 23, 25, 27, 35 and 24, 31, 36 in which fluid couplings are inserted.
