Abstract
576,959. Dry shavers. BELZ, A. March 20, 1944, No. 5162. Convention date, April 6, 1943. [Class 131] In a dry-shaving mechanism the oscillating upper cutter is curved in the directior of oscillation and coacts with a stationary lower cutter. The lower cutter 1 is toothed along both edges and is fixed to the cutting head 3 by screws 2. The uppei cutter 4 is a thin blade toothed along botl edges and maintainec in close contact with the curved upper surface of the lower cutter 1 and in a stretchec condition by means othe spring 7 and the spring stirrup 6 the ends 5 of which engage in slits 15. The upper cutter 4 is driven from the rotating crank pin 13 through the lever 11, fork 8 and stirrup 6. The upper cutter 4 may be released by compression of the stirrup 6.
