[Also in Group VIII] A guillotine for cutting asbestos and like sheet material comprises two spaced fixed blades 1 having secured to their forward ends a forked member 4 within which is pivoted a doubleedged blade 5 which is moved toward and between the blades 1 by means of a hand-operated lever 7 pivoted to the forked member and connected to the blade 5 by means of a link 8. The forked member is provided with a handle 6.
