465,820. Safety razors. HOFFMANN, K. Aug. 14, 1935, No. 22856. Void. Convention date, Aug. 14, 1934. [Class 30] A cleaning comb 2, of which the teeth are adapted to reciprocate between the teeth of the guard comb 1 is mounted below the latter. A variety of ways of imparting motion to the comb 2 is described. In Fig. 2 a cam 6 on a revoluble sleeve 4 engages a slot in the comb. The comb 2 may be in halves each of which is operated, for example, by a bellcrank lever, or by a blade of a scissors-like device ; or the halves may be secured to a spring 14, Fig. 5, and pressed outwards by compressing the spring. In a modified form there are two movable combs, either of which may be guard or cleaning comb according to its position.
